ESTEC tennis champions in Rome!!!
This year the annual ESA Tennis & Padel tournament took place in Rome on 20-21 September 2025. The ESTEC delegation had 2 tennis teams and one padel team. Remarkable result for the first team, that won the tournament, beating ESOC/Eumetsat and ESRIN B in the group stage, before clashing in the final against ESRIN A. The team, composed by Roberto Capasso, Sandro Patti, Giorgio Parzianello, and Adriana Medina, won a very tough encounter and claimed again the ESA Tennis crown! Moreover, extra congratulations are due to Roberto, that won the prize as best player of the tournament!
Next year, the tournament will happen in the ESTEC premises, so stay tuned to not lose the occasion to have the honour of defending ESTEC's win next year (and maybe also claim the padel cup)!
- Padel tournament 2025 - :
A padel tournament is being organised at the ETC premised on 10-11-12 September 2025.
Subscriptions are open for both ETC Members (for free) and for externals (5 euro fee).

- Subscriptions 2025 - :
At the end of February we will be renewing the membership of the ETC Tennis and Padel Club for 2025. This means that the members who didn’t renew yet their membership in 2025 will become non-members and won’t be able to book courts or use the club facilities.
To renew the membership for 2025 it is enough to per form the subscription from the website (https://tennis-padel.estec-sscc.net/) under ”membership and payments” and perform the payment. The fees are unchanged also this year.
- Tennis training:
The contact point and person in charge of the trainings for both tennis and padel is always Ben ([email protected]), so contact him directly for questions related to the possibility of trainings with the ETC.
- Padel training:
At the moment the ETC club is looking for a padel trainer as the previous trainer has moved to Spain.
Reminder:
There is the possibility to have padel training at ETC premises. In case of interest please send an email to Ben ([email protected]) indicating your availability (extended) and preferred slots and the level of play.
Needless to say, it is necessary to be an ETC member to attend the training. The costs of the training will be sustained by the people attending the training. More information will follow to the interested ones.

- Teams group:
- A Teams group has been created for the ETC and the actual ETC members have been added to it.
There will be different channels to allow better interaction among the members and information communication.
You can join the general group via this link - In case you can’t access the group, just drop an email to: [email protected] , [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] (easiest is to send an email to all for quicker updates )
At the moment TEAMS is not available for the “external” members (e.g. family members or pensioners). We are aware of it and we will try to see if there are other ways to simplify the communications for these members as well, but hopefully this is already an improvement of the situation
- Guest booking:
- Please note that the guest booking option in the system is intended for sporadic booking that may happen with non ETC members and is limited to 10 guest booking per year per ETC member (not enforced in the system). Each guest booking is charged 5 euro to the member requesting it and it is normally done at the end of the year.
Just to clarify the intention of the option as last year a significant amount of guest booking has been noticed.
